This has caused
some rancor in the older version of the website with a number of the
top ranking things to do questioning why they should share with other
top ranking things to do in Sydney while their mobile cousins do not.
To this we say - Nah! Nah! Na! Nah! Nah!
Very Funny,
but why do you rank the mobile site differently?
There is no major
difference in the rankings it's just the way they are presented. We
think it's easier to handle having less information per page. This
is also the reason why we have only started with the top 20. If you
buy the Travel Guide it's in
a PDF format [so great for IPADS etc] and ranks slightly differently
because it is designed for a slightly different audience. What an
excuse to mention the book but there you go, if you are going to burble
might as well do it usefully.
Why didn't you
do this earlier?
We admit to being
slow in setting up a mobile Sydney100 and, of course, seek to blame
someone else. There was this man in the pub who told me, just quietly
like, that mobile phones were just a fad that would never last..
According the experts, the need for a separate mobile site is, supposedly,
diminishing. Phones are getting smarter and can increasingly cope
with non-mobile sites. I'm not sure I believe this as noone in the
pub seems to agree.
Time will tell whether mobile Sydney100 is not only late, but also
a waste of space. What do you think the future holds? [see email below]
